5.5 Years of Integrated Development Support (2020–Mid 2025)
From 2020 through mid-2025, Aztec Engineering provided comprehensive engineering and project management services in support of Pipestone and Strathcona area development. Over this period, our team tied in 125 producing wells and 5 injection wells, while installing 97 km of pipeline across gathering, lift gas, produced water, and instrument air systems. We designed and constructed three proration batteries and water disposal facilities, one compressor station, three injection batteries, and three offsite disposal wellsites. Beyond new construction, Aztec managed a sustained volume of Management of Change (MOC) projects — averaging over 24 per year between 2021 and 2025 — reflecting the dynamic and evolving nature of this asset. Regulatory work included five AER and five ABSA submissions. As with many plays in this region, our teams successfully managed the added complexity of high sour production and operations near residential areas, reinforcing Aztec’s reputation for technically sound and safety-first project execution.
